2007 Marks Milestone Year for Grant Funding
The Sacramento Affiliate reaches milestone year, granting over $1 million to local organizations.
This year's grant recipients received a giant PINK check, totalling $1,094,740.00 at a March 30th press conference with the Komen-funded "Mammovan" as the event backdrop. Held at Raley's Market, the local presenting sponsor of our upcoming Sacramento Race for the Cure, the Grant Recipients were introduced and accepted their checks. Nancy McGagin of Raley's thanked the Grantees for their dedication and support of Komen's promise; To save lives and end breast cancer forever. The Affiliate is proud to fund 24 local programs for early detection, education and supportive services related to breast health.
