A dinner reception for current and potential team captains. Rally type event with entertainment and ideas for forming a team and collecting contributions. Sponsor's corporate name and logo can be attached to team packets, if timely. Expected Attendance: 250 Corporate and Community Leaders

Pledge-a-thon
April 2008

Celebrity run-off on treadmills(s). Participants will pledge to walk/run on a treadmill until their goal is reached. To be conducted at high visibility locations with radio and television promotions. Local celebrities will compete. High Media Exposure

Survivor's Celebration
May 2008

A Survivor Reception is held the week before the race. This is a well attended event by both survivors and the media. There will be a program and entertainment. Expected Attendance: 500

Volunteer Thank You Event
June 2008

Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure® requires over 900 dedicated volunteers. To show our appreciation on behalf of the Komen Sacramento Affiliate, survivors and their loved ones, we provide a fun-filled event and thank you gift.

Litte Road Runners for the Cure

On Race day, all children three-to-five years old can participate in a 50 yd dash. Registration is race day at the Sponsor's tent and the race provides medals for all. Recieves a lot of media attention.
