Susan G. Komen for the Cure© began as a promise between two sisters and has become one of the largest grassroots organizations in the world. Komen for the Cure is driven by 100,000 volunteers nationwide.
The Sacramento Valley Affiliate relies on volunteers to support our many educational, outreach, and fundraising programs. We offer a variety of opportunities to fit every level of interest and time, and even with more than 1200 volunteers who put in a range of a few hours a year to several hours every week, there is always room for more. Our proximity to the Capitol makes it easy for us to provide a leadership role in Advocacy in the areas of breast health and access to services.
