Susan G. Komen for the Cure® seeks to ensure that all people, regardless of race, income, geographic location, or insurance status, have access to screening, and if diagnosed, to quality, effective treatment and treatment support services.
The Komen Sacramento Affiliate is well-recognized as a leader in grant making, having awarded more than $10 million to a wide variety of non-profits that provide breast health/breast cancer services to the uninsured and underinsured in our 17-county service area since 1997. In addition, we contribute to groundbreaking breast cancer research and educational and scientific programs around the world - energizing science to find the cures.
Komen Sacramento's goal is to distribute funds to as many organizations as possible, providing means for each to fulfill our promise - to save lives and end breast cancer forever. We're proud to accomplish that at a local level through our community grant program.
