Small Grants Program

Overview

The Sacramento Valley Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is currently offering grants up to $5,000 to support breast health education projects, conferences and travel scholarships. Small Grant Applications are accepted four times a year. The deadlines are listed below and will be announced on Komen Sacramento's website. Award notifications are generally made within three weeks after the deadline.

3. July 1, 2012
4. October 1, 2012

Small Grant Eligibility

To be eligible for a small grant, we request that you conform to the following criteria to be considered for funding:

• Applicants must ensure that all past and current Komen-funded grants or awards are up-to-date and in compliance with Komen requirements.
• Project must be specific to breast health and/or breast cancer.
• The applicant must be a non-profit organization with federal tax exemption. Individuals may not receive grants.
• Small Grant applicants are restricted to two per year, per program and one per year per current grantee from April 1 through March 31 (Komen Sacramento's grant year).
• If you are a current Small Grant recipient, you may not apply for another Small Grant until you have submitted your final report for your current Small Grant-funded project.
• Institutions must provide services within our 19 County Service Area.

Small Grant Submission

To apply for a Small Grant, complete the small grant application. Submit an electronic version in Word format to melen@komensacramento.org and one orginal copy of the grant application. The Small Grant should by signed by a person (Approving Institutional Personnel) who has the authority to contractually obligate the organization.
